Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Avoid washing your head daily, and wash your hair on 3 times a week using a sulphate free shampoo as it is gently and prevents a dry scalp. Give your head a gentle massage while washing. Do not apply much pressure.

It is mostly seen that one keeps changing their shampoo from time to time, which is not a good habit. Once you have found a shampoo that works for your hair type, then stick to that only, as it keeps your hair shiny and pretty.

  • Conditioning

It is necessary to condition your hair every time you shampoo, so it feels soft and tangle-free post the hair wash. The conditioner you apply should be natural, silicon-free with no harmful chemicals.

  • Avoid Use of Too Much Heat Tools

Mostly people use blow dryers or a curling rod to style hair and get their hair dry quickly. Use of heat styling methods damage your hair . So do not style your hair very often with heat styling methods. You can experiment with no-heat styling methods like rollers or trying your hair in a plait overnight. It will be very helpful but if you have no other option then use a heat protective serum to avoid too much damage.

  • Eat Right Food

Healthy eating habits also help to give your hair a healthy look. Food rich in iron, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and protein will give you hair that will totally make heads turn. Avoid eating junk food and eat healthy fruits and vegetables.

  • Sunlight Exposure

Direct sunlight can also cause damage to your skin. Like we apply sunscreen for our skin, in same manner we should use a heat protecting serum to protect your hair too from UV rays. Direct sunrays to scalp for long time can cause dryness and damage to our precious locks.

  • Regular Trimming

  • No Hot Water

Hot water showers are not only bad for skin but for hair as well. So wash your hair with cold or lukewarm water to protect your hair form the damage.
